ALL FOR ONE

I've spent most of the day organising brick and mortar. Thank the gods I can get brick cheaper through work, the ridiculos retail cost of these things really appaled me. Mortar's not too bad, we are making it up ourselfs. Although we will have plenty of sand left over, and I wagera good deal of lime as well. I did get to however kick in part of a brick wall this afternoon. Which took all of but 5 mins due to the dodgy sany heavy mortar that was used.

Oh yes, I've got the bucks party of the year tonight. Hopefully it will be pretty decent. It's down to the Mawson Lakes hotel for a few drinks and then off to the city for some fun under the neon lights. I don't plan on getting too drunk, but that's usually when it happen. I swear my hand just takes over and starts buying drinks!

GOING DIGITAL

Ok, I've splurged a bit tonight. I realised that it was about time that I bought a digital camera. Everyone around me seems to have one, even friends that don't have a computer seem to be buying them. So I went into Diamonds Camera & Video and picked my self up a Pentax Optio S5n. I ended up spending a little more than I intended, my budged was $500, but I did get a case and a 512mb SD card as well. The internal memory that it comes with is a little on the poxy side, being only 10mb.

Before that rather large purchase though I also swung by Adrenalin Computers and purchased and 512mb USB thumb drive which is all spiffy and includes some neat features like PC lock and being bootable, I can also partition it and password protect it. Things I might never use but it was pretty cheap ($89) so I thought it was a bargin. At least now I don't have to steal CD's from work to bring stuff home anymore.

ARATAKA'S FURY

Oh yes, I've finally managed to get a new skin up and running. It's a Mahou Sensei Negima! head over to the skins section and check it out. Hopefully I can get another one done fairly soon. I'm thinking a .hack version. Sorry it's a little same-ol though. I forgot how easy it is to mess around with PHP skinning. Converting this blog to PHP was one of the best moves that I've done.

Forgot to mention the otherday that I've gotten over 50 members in the Official Mutsumi Fanlisting, and amassive four on the Always my Santa listing. I really thought it would have been more popular. Oh well. With a little luck I could end up with the Ken Akamatsu listing in a week or so, here's hoping!

...:::~ITSUDATTE LOVE AND DREAM~:::...

They... are... locking... down... the internet even more at work now. I can't believe they blocked Stormy's Site of all the low down rotten things to do. :-( I'm sure a few Negima site will be blacklisted shortly. It really bugs me the way that stupid mole face does that.

I managed to get through Hero last night. Awesome movie, I love the colors and action scenes. I was going through the special features and was surprised about how bad Jet Lee's engrish is. I thought he was able to speak really well... halfway through the Neverending Story as well. Just the first movie, I've still got the other two as well. Also realised that my bro gipped me out of Ocean's 12. I knew something was missing from that lot. Hes headed to Melbourne for the week, and took my last $50 with him the scaly blighter! :-(

Oh if anyones got the Negima! mascot_asuna and mascot_konoka I'd really appreciate the emailing me at ashlar(at)gmail.com and letting me know. I don't think gmail allows .exe attachments though so if you could rename them I'd appreciate it.

MAHOU SENSEI ASHLAR!

Congratulations!
Your general IQ score is 134.

A person whose IQ score falls in the range of 129-143 is considered to be "highly intelligent".

Well would you look at that and I didn't cheat at all!

PLEASE SAVE MY EARTH

Oww, I'm sore. I was laying concrete and digging fence post holes all day yesterday. I'm not used to that kind of work. Still it was very fun. I havn't managed to get that dirty since I was about 10 years old. Still we got a lot done and I have this nice sense of accomplishment now.

I watched Bad Santa last night. It was nowhere near as funny as I thought it would be. That's not to say it wasn't good. I was happier that every morning I've turned on the TV this long weekend that an Indiana Jones movie has been on. Booyeah! saves me whipping out those DVDs.

SAKURA CRISIS

Ok, so I headed out for dinner last night at the Tea Tree Gully Hotel, nothing really to report. It was Shanes Birthday so we all had a decnet time. I went to the Adult Superstore in the city after work to get him a present. Something I could laugh at. I ended up buying a DVD, $50 and a burnt copy. When I got it home I wasn't pleased. So I decided that after dinner I would take it back.

Oh the hassle that it was. First of all there store policy is that they don't do cash refunds. So I know it was going to be difficult to get my money back. The largest most fattest disgusting guy served me. We talked, he got angry, I raised my voice. 20 mins of this and Ashlar won! Go me. Unfortunatly they fat dude couldn't let me walk out with out trying to tell me that if he saw me crossing the street I had better watch out. I gave the fingers, yelled out "get fucked you fat ponce" and went home for a well deserved rest.

Oh the stories one has when they spend a portion of a friday night in an adult store!

BE LIKE THE LOTUS

I got a nice surprise in the mail today. I asked for a brochure for the Japanese Mountain Retreat the other day and not only did I get the really pretty, yet equally useless brochure. I also got a sache of onsen salts to use in my bath. Now feeling like a bath tonight they most possible could get used.

I also found a site with those much afformentioned Negima Desktop Mascots! Ahh yes they are mine, both here and work now. There was also a bunch of other kewl stuff like clocks and organisers and stuff there as well. All in all todays haul has really lightened up my mood! :-D As you can see I'm quite happy with myself.

.:|=======O FINISH BUSTER O=======|:.

Well lets just say Dragon Ball Z: Sagas didn't really take too much time away from Xenosaga 2. Yes, it's finished, and I even manage to clean up all the items with relative ease. One thing I was quite impressed with was the slowdown effect when the characters were charging up their respective special moves (e.g Kamehameha, Special Beam Cannon, Masenko etc.). Combining and uppercut>charge>teleport combo made sure the enemies felt the pain. Finishing the game netted me a few bonus goodies: Ability to play through old levels with any character and some special characters like Broly, Krillin, Yamcha and Bardock. It's funny going SSJ on Raditz and still having him mop the floor with you on hard... *LOL*

Ok, so after all that crap I went through yesterday at this hole, so much I'm not even going to bother mentioning it, I headed to the shinTokyo Office after work. Plodded around on the PC, which seems to be running ok now that getright have put their windows on it. They must have done something else to it though. I've never had a problem with my copy of windows before EVER, so it I came to conclusion it had to be hardware. I must have been wrong, it happens. I'm just surprised that's all. Hopefully that's the end of it.

I got a decent way into Dogma last night, sleep finally decided to kick in at about 2am. :-D so with a good 5 hours of sleep under my belt I'm actually not feeling too bad at the moment. Better than I was yesterday that's for sure. I really should give Yoshi: Touch and Go some attention tonight.

MONOLITH SOFTWARE INC.

I've finally finished the main story line of Xenosaga 2, now I've got a bunch of post game side-quests to embark on. The ending was standard though, it's cliff hanger set up for a sequel. With any luck it'll get produced sometime this year. Oh, post game stuff is always fun! *insert sarcasm*, unfortunately the completist in me refuses to leave anything unfinished. As always ridiculously hard bonus battles will be the staple of my existence for the next few days.

With any luck my US order will arrive sometime today. Maybe, just maybe I'll get energetic enough to put in DBZ:Saga's. I'm actually quite surprised I haven't heard from Willy so far today. Hes had major problems with the shonktokyo office PC. Hardware problems since day one, and hes taken it back to where it was purchased to have them look at it. Of course they said it was software to begin with, "here buy a $200 version of windows from us" yeah, like that's going to fix it...

I hope this is the last of his troubles though. I'm kind of getting sick and tired it being broken, I've tried so hard to track down the problem, spent a lot of my own man hours doing so. I just want closure on this damn thing! Someone please remove the doorstop.

WE ARE ALL THE SAME

It's been a long hard day and I'm just looking forward to getting home. I've working for a good 3 and a half hours so far and there's only so much I can take. I popped my first Valium last night and went out like a light, it was so refreshing to get a decent night sleep for once. The Valerian I've got just isn't cutting it like it used to.

Not really much else is happening. You basically got me buying a whole bunch of DVD's that Jacob got for me cheap like:
- Shaun of the Dead
- Resident Evil Apocolypse
- Fallen
- Walking Tall
- Never Ending Story Trilogy
- Dogma

I think that's it. I can't really remember that their was much else. I did get into resident evil last night, its much better the second time around. Very impressed with the special features as well!

Well it's about time I'm out of here! 5* Energy Ratings done!

.::.SLEEP PROOF.::.

I just know I'm going to start hallucinating. I'm not sure what lack of sleep does to the human psyche but I'm sure it's not a good thing. I'm going to pick up some valerian after work, that always worked wonders when I was at school. I know I'm sleeping, the problem is it's just not good sleep. I'm either sleepwalking (or running) or I'm not hitting that deep sleep that you need to get. I've had problems before, usually caused by excessive coffee consumption post 4pm.

Last nights outing was good. It ran on a little later than I intended, I ended up getting home about 10pm, but it was well worth the effort to catch up with Sausage and his work friends. We are going to have to start making it a weekly thing again. The weathers cooling down a lot, and as long as it doesn't pour down it shouldn't be a problem for either of us getting there or getting back to the car.

Woe is me and all that Jazz. I just can't be bothered at the moment. I'm in a mood, yes, the best thing you can do is leave me alone.

MY EYES BLEED AND DARKNESS FALLS
Naru Narusegawa
Naru Narusegawa is the perfect wife for you!
Which Love Hina girl is a perfect wife for you?
brought to you by Quizilla

Now why doesn't that surprise me.

Let me start by just saying how sodding annyoing it is to know that someone is letting my cat out in the morning when I've specifically asked them not too. Why is my family so stupid, it's certainly not passed along in the gene pool that's for sure. I can't wait to move the hell out!

Looks like it's a couple of drinks with the Sausage tonight. I'm just so damn tired, I've gotten no sleep at all latley. If I pass any strangers in the street I'd forgive them for mistaking me for a mumble lunatic. Sore eyes, terrible.

My only escape is the fact that works keeping me really busy, so much so that I'm more than likley be here on the weekend. Now that's something to looks forward too...

J-E-N-O-V-A ABSOLUTE

Uggh I feel so full, I havn't been able to stop eating over the last few days and I'm feeling it now. Even worse is that I've got a Hog's Breath Dinner tonight! Anyone got any quick cures for binge eating let me know asap.

It's been a shit of a day at work... oh gid I just want to go home....

(I can hardly contain my excitment about this! Content-wise the site's rather bare... I want the stateside realease ASAP, hopefully it's sometime in the next few months. It's a shame that the release date's been pushed back so much in Japan. :-/)

VAMO' ALLA FLAMENCO

The first disc of Xenosaga went quickly. Really, really quickly. I finished it last night and found the first save point in the Dammerung. The storyline is actually starting to make a whole lot more sense now that I'm a good 10 hours into the game, still the normal battles are tedious and take too long. Especially when you have to exploit all the weaknesses like damage types, Break Bonus, Air & Down Status', Elemental Chains and Boost combos just to finish off a few weak map enemies. It's hilarious to know that when your not supposed to be able to cause damage to boss and your leveled up enough to, yes it is good.

I also placed a US order last night:

  • Dragon Ball Z: Sagas (Gamecube)

  • Yoshi Touch and Go (DS)

  • Katamari Damacy (PS2)

  • Blood Will Tell (PS2)
And that pretty much covers me up until Harvest Moons the end of June for games, assuming that Touch! Kirby's Magical Paintbrush or Xenosaga DS isn't released before then. So I might be able to catch up on some DVD's and Manga finally. Speaking of which I'll be getting Negima v5 and A.I Love You v8 next week! Finally the end of A.I, it's been so long and I've enjoyed it so much.

Do I feel guilty about posting so much from work? Well yes, I do a little, it's not like I have a choice though. I'm so swamped with crap to do at home that I rarley get a chance to update my fanlistings let alone post anything at home. Hopefully that will sort itself out in time though, I am making some more time to get through a few long standing games though which is something I've been meaning to do.

I'll see about doing a new layout soon enough. I notice it I leave it a while my style changes over time. I've got a few neato idea's.

.o.o~}BURST VEILL{~o.o.

I actually took a bath last night, I can't remember the last time I took a bath. It was just so relaxing. I soaked for a good hour before I got out, which was a struggle because it felt like all mu muscles had melted.

Despite my relatively early night though I'm still rather tired this morning. I finish off the latest Disc (four I think) of Wolf's Rain and got into some more Xenosaga 2. I don't understand why it's been given such harsh criticism. The battle system, although it took some getting used to, is very competent, the cut scenes and voice acting are excellent and the gameplay is nothing short of addictive. It's just a shame that this game will never see anything but a stateside release, at least I think so. The first's been out a good 2 years and still hasn't made it's way over here, although it was talked about for a while.

I'm really feeling like a ceaser salad for lunch, but that will have to wait a while even though for some reason I'm hungry now.

AND EVERYTHING BETWEEN...

Well lets see how it kicked off on the weekend. My cousins wedding was very nice. It was only about 50-60 people but I didn't stay very long at the reception. I got me a nice candy treat for dessert though. It was a cocktail party so I didn't feel too guilty about leaving there wasn't a meal.

Heading away from that I went to the 50th birthday party straight after, which wasn't only on the complete other side of town it was still stinking hot at 6:30 when I was headed there. My air conditioning still isn't fixed. I know, I know... The part was good though. Amusing old drunks walking around and always plenty of food to eat. Most of the night was spent with me behind the bar, getting drinks and trying to help get things organised.

Just got word that my lovely sister is taping Wrestlemania for me! This is good for 2 reasons
1) I won't have to pay $30 when I get home to watch it and then fight for the TV.
2) I'll get to see it before the DVD comes out, which can get a little difficult to get hold of sometimes.

I should probably think about getting back to work. The computer thing all worked out as well. I fixed everything up and theres no way they can tell who accidentally caused the problem. Damn I am good, yes, yes, I know it.

DONKEY KONG ENGINEER

Some nice little person picked me up a copy of Donkey Konga for Easter, ok it was a bit late but I'm not going to complain about that. It's so damn addictive. The bongoes rock and it's perfect to just smack on quickly if your in need of a little fun. It instantly replaced Mario Golf as my time filler if I've got nothing to do, which seems to be less and less as I get older.

I'll have to rest up tonight, I've got quite a bit of a weekend filled up with a wedding, 50th birthday party, shopping and computer work to do. I'm very worried as well at work. Seems as though I might have gotten rid of a bunch of stuff on the network by accident. It's nothing important, only back ups of things that are already backed up. Still they shouldn't have been deleted. We'll see how things turn out on Monday...
