PERFECT WORLD

w00t, I'm by myself again. It's not too bad. My parents have left for Melbourne on Thursday and don't get back until Tuesday night. I can have my music as loud as I want.

Picked up Bleach 7 and .hack//AI buster. Both have been awesome. .hack//AI buster is a novel though and me and my reading, not that I read slow it's just I find it hard to find the time, it could take a while before I'm through it. Both I've been looking forward too.

finished Katamari Damacy 2 yesterday. It was just as good as the first, I loved the level where I had to roll around the sumo, I got him to a whopping 249 kilos. LOL he was so huge... Sakura Tasien ACN here I come now, cause thats what I need, more Sakura Taisen... :-/

1000 WORDS

Well I'm all booked in now for Melbourne. Now I've just got to set it all up. Still it's not going to be too bad. We will stay in a separate hotel in the city, nick up to the dandenong's and then down for the party.

I finished Sakura Taisen 5 as well. I got the girl that I wanted and the ending was sweet. I'm going to play Sakura Taisen ACN next, well maybe after We Love Katamari, don't know how long that's going to be though. It's entirley in Jap, but still fun to play.

Ordered Negima Vol 2 last night as well. w00t for more Negima! goodness. But for the moment we will forget the fact that I havn't finished the first... Went to the Phanty Walk last night. It was cold, I was tired. I had less than a fantastic super fun time. Oh well, them's the breaks.

Ahh fun times ahead. I'm off to finish Sakura Taisen 5!!!

SCOTTY DOESN'T KNOW...

I finally got around to watching EuroTrip last night. I really enjoyed it, the robot fight scene was the funniest thing I've seen in a movie in a long time. I'm still laughing about it when I think about it now. Matt Damon can sing? Who would have thought. I liked how the movie was littered with celebrity cameos. Very amusing to pick them all cause they were mostly disguised. Wow that writer is FAT though, don't look in the special features, you'll be mortified.

Relatively busy weekend. I download the We Love Katamari PS2 game, it's all in Jap but still very fun. Went to Ying Chow's on Friday night, town on Saturday for lunch with William and Ciarne. Which was really fun, and good, very tasty. Didn't get much in town though, Just bought some iPod socks for the little miss.

That's pretty much it. I've got some serious web site things to do I think... I think...

RETURN TO SPLENDOR

Headed to the pub with the Sausage last night. We didn't stay so long though. Only enough for one or two drinks. I needed to head into David Jones to get a present for a girl at work. It was her birthday yesterday.

Mostly been bumming around on the AVcon Forums instead of working on my website. It's pretty bad I know, I need to get some real work done. But it's not going to be tonight.

I've been thinking about moving moving the blog over to MovableType, looks like it might be a big of a pain in the ass to set up though. Still could be ok. w.bloggar seems to be intergrated as well, which is the best blogging tool, the only one that I use!

KINGWOOD DAYS

Oh, such a long and break free weekend and the AVcon, in a way I'm glad it's over, so my poor feet can recover. The stall was really busy, thanks to all of those guys that made me look good buy buying something. I think for a while there I looked like I knew what I was doing/talking about.

But AVcon was good. I didn't get too look around as much as I'd like (actually didn't get to look around at all), or play my DS any (really really really wanted to pictochat) or enter any games competitions. But spending the whole day with my shinTokyo crew was actually a good thing. There were some neato cosplayers, didn't get anything but one good shot though. Which I might post later.

I'm glad to be home, I'm tired and having Sakura Taisen withdrawal symptoms. Plus side of today = no work done, Tax cheque returned. Oh yeah, I'm gonna go buy stuff!

CLEAR SKIES, LOW CLOUDS

Oh, no! I've had an allergic reaction to something. Not really sure what it is but somethings making me bust out in a horrible itchy rash. I'm headed to the doctor at 12:30 though, hopefully he can tell me what's going on.

I did a little more work on the Ken Akamatsu Fanlisting last night, The design is pretty basic but I managed to get some codes up for people to play with. I'm really tired as well at the moment. I think after I go to the doctors I'm going to head home for some sleep... Zzz

SPLASH

I think I need a spiffy new splash page for my awesome new website. I probably should think about putting up some kind of information page as well. I might as well start tonight but I'm a bit too tired to get too motovated.

Went to the Belgium with Jessy, Sausage and Scotty after work. Of course the party was well underway by the time that I arrived. Still lots of fun to be had. I'll post some pics on the weekend. After I've got a few ore at the convention that is!

~.:.IT'S TIME.:.~

Well I finally got around to doing something about my own domain name. It's finally up and running after month and months of deliberation. The new URL is offbeathalo.com so everyone update your bookmarks and stuff.

The Story So far:

Now, as far as I know everything should be functioning exactly the same as it did before. It was about 5 hours of re-writing last night but it should all be working, including the skins for the blog. I've re-directed the old pages to the corresponding sub-domains on the new domain:

Always My Santa Fanlisting
Mutsumi Otohime Fanlisting
Iro-Hina Information

I've upgraded the fanlistings to PHPfanbase, which is something that I've been needing to do for a while. It was getting so hard to manually manage the 80+ members of the Mutsumi Fanlisting and the Santa one is growing very slowly. I'll be setting up the Ken Akamatsu Fanlisting very shortly and with a little luck I'll get hold of the Sakura Taisen Fanlisting as well!!! :-D

Expect a bit of growth/re-design in the upcoming months, I've got 2 gig of storage for at least the next 2 years and I've got every intention of using it. I'm planning on expanding a few section and maybe finally finding a use for my digital camera. For the next day or so though, I'm taking a break. Ahh I can sit on easy street now... hey maybe i'll get some kid of message board things going... *ponders many things...*

SHING SHAW

I'm absolutely powering through sakura Taisen 5, I didn't really want to get into it before

1. Translation guide was made
2. Walkthrough
3. Could find my saves or replay ST 1, 3, MP & 5-0

But as per usual I'm utterly addicted. The game come off being very polished, and big. The battles, as usual are the best part of the game, being ridiculously hard yet very easy once you figure out how to use the battle system mechanics to your advantage. I'm utterly blundering my way through it, There's barley but 2 of the character that actually like me. It really show with the stat increases you get in battle. The graphics are once again amazing, the animated sequences and special moves being of particular note.

It's a lot of fun running around in a rendered old skool 1928 new york, and playing as a star-division member make sit that much sweeter. The Showtime boxset was very spectacular, and defiantly worth the money if you can afford it. The controller/headphones from hori are just great and mousepad and pin are pretty special too. I got a nice surprise though. For some reason Play-asia were nice enough to send me the limited edition pre-order only showtime disc, I'm yet to play it but from what I've read it's a DVD that's got a bunch of production stuff as well as cast interviews etc in.

That's been pretty much my weekend, and will probably be the rest of my week as well, at least until AVcon next weekend where I'm slotted in to help Will @ shinTokyo for the 2 days. I'd love to cosplay, it's just not going to happen. I have to find time to build the Ken Akamatsu Fanlisting that I've been approved for as well... yippee!

BLISTER BLUE

Ok, I think I'm finally going to commit to getting my very own webspace tonight. I'm applied for 2 more fanlistings (Sakura Taisen & Akamatsu) which I'm going to start to need:

1. More space than I should expect from my current host.
2. A PHP/MYSQL enabled control panel
3. A plethoria of bandwidth for my new sites
4. SUB-DOMAINS

I'll register a new domain name cause I don't really like the one I've got. Star-Flare is still active, although it's barley used anymore. I've got it re-directed to my splash for flare.misabel.com.

Anyway that's enough rambling for now. My Sakura Taisen 5 was shipped this morning and I'm currently tracking it. With a little luck it wont have any problems getting through customs, and even though I swore to black-list UPS it was about $10US cheaper than USPS so I folded. If it gets stuck in customs I'm sending anthrax... stupid UPS... seems like I'm still bitter about that. Gold star for holding my grudge so long, I thought I'd be over it by now.

FINAL ELIXER

Wow, who would have thought that even though my connexion has been shaped I'd still be able to download 2 Negima! eps and 1 Bleach ep. Which I watched straight away mind you. Although I havn't touched Bleach yet... I got stuck on Battlefield Vietnam. Ordered Pizza on Saturday night and Pizza Hut had a deal where you got a PC game and pizza's and crap for $40 or something.

Finally got myself a copy of Battlefield Vietnam, although when the PC died last year I lost BF1942 :-(... I really liked that game. I might have to see if I can find it again. Read some more Bleach today, with a little luck shinTokyo will have a few more volumes in before long. I'll fast be running out of things to read... Well I do have that rather large amount (15+) of Kare Kano to get though, but we wont count that now will we.

I think it's a going to be a rest night for me tonight. I'm bored and tired and a little bit on the slack side today. It's odd, the first half of the day has gone really quickly, the rest is dragging like a son of a beyotch... :-/

Not happy about that now I think about it...

CALAMITY

I forgot to mention that I picked up this little number Friday night. Oh yes, I'm quite pleased. I actually just finished reading it. I'm really enjoying the story, they artwork is amazing and Mr. Akamatsu has really outdone him self. I'm even leaning to saying that it's actually better than Love Hina, which is a big thing for me. Love Hina being my Favorite Manga of all time.

Bleach is turning out pretty good as well. I'm liking the character design and story nicely. It's a little different from what I'm used to reading though, mainly I stick to the girly lovey dovey ones (e.g Kare Kano, Love Hina, Ai Yori Aoshi, Sakura Taisen & Kill Me, Kiss Me).

Also went Paintballing with work yesterday, that was fun. I hit Counter-Strike-Mode and was just going for Head Shots in each round. *LOL* I got a bunch as well. As far as I can tell I did really well. I don't bruise so where I did get hit I barley have a mark. So of the guys will be feeling it today. My department/team ended up taking the trophy home, Booyeah! We are so the best.

WotW > FLATMAN BEGINS

It's odd when you go into a movie expecting only the very best, you leave the cinema feeling dissapointed. Last night I went and saw 2 movies that I've been looking forward to. War of the Worlds and Batman Begins. Now I'm a big fan of the Batman Movies, by far all of them have been more than decent, yes even the one with Mr Freeze in it. BAtman begins, however falls flat to the other though. The story is crap, you've got Qui Gon Jin for the baddy and trout face Katie Holmes for a lady.

The Scarecrow is my favourite Batman Villian, so I was looking forard to him having a much larger roll than he did. It's a shame about how it ended as well. I can't bring myself to write about it any longer, it didn't even have the same feel as the others.

War of the Worlds though, I've got nothing but praise for...
