RAY

ZOMG! I just come back from sky diving. It's very, very different from what I expected. I'm not going to lie. I did freak out a little bit, who wouldn't free falling from 12,000 feet. I think the video that I got done is going to be hilarious.

Your suprisingly calm when your rocketing towards the ground at a million miles per hour. When the chute pulls you do get a great feeling of relief. I'd love to do it again, probably not for a while though. It just costs too much.

At my sisters now. Here for a couple of days and then I'm back home. Something I'm looking forward too. Probably pick up my DVD of my jump tomorrow, there's a party, sleep and then a plane flight.

Back home. back home. :-D

GENIUS SONORITY

Whew, Ok. Finally in Melbourne, and managed to find an internet cafe someplace close to where I'm staying for the second time. The past 2 days (Sat and Sun) I've been working at the Manifest. Very long and busy, my feet are still sore. Still it was a good few days. I didn't get a chance to get too many pics but I'll put some up when I get them... or get some off of Will cause I think he got a few more than me. I've pretty much just got the general cosplayers and stuff.

There is sooooo much shopping in Melbourne!!! ^_^ Kawaiiii
The food is damn good too. I've only been good once and got a few pieces of fruit from the Queen Vic Markets (staying right next too it at the last hotel.) There's been a big mess up with the flights as well. Looks like I'm stuck at my sisters one extra day because of it. Don't think works very happy about the extra day off but I can't warrent spending $300+ dollars to get back one day earlier, it's cheaper for me to just stay. Damn Jetstar, I'm never flying with them again...

Probably should get back to it. Before long it will be time for me to head out for dinner.

Hopefully I will be able to post again soon, with a full review of manifest and maybe sum pics... maybe...

PARTINGS

Well it's going to be a while before my next post I think. I've got some pics of the Millencolin Concert up as well. It's a shame that I was sitting so far back in the balcony, they didn't turn out that fantastic. Keep in mind that they were done with 4x digital zoom on my phone. I've reduced the size so they look a little better. I really enjoyed the concert though. They played a bunch of their hits and a lot of new stuff too. I waited all night to hear Mooseman's Jukebox. Had to be the last song they played as well. I really enjoyed the live version of shut you out and Fox.

The Hot Lies that supported them were also pretty decent. I was going to buy their EP at the merch stand, but logic got the better of me. I enjoyed them but not enuf to listen to more I think. Although their Bullets and Black Lines went off live. I kind of wished they did and encore for that song.

Also want to say how terrible the acoustics are in the Thebarton Theatre. zomg, couldn't make out much of anything, talk about bad distortion... If I didn't know the words to the songs I would have had no idea what was being sung.

I gotta go pack sum entertainment... e.g. Manga, games and crap.

AEONS MAY CRY

Not long now till I'm off. I guess it means very little, if not no blogging for a while. If only my damn fone had it's email setup. Stupid Virgin don't support it yet. I should have gone with Vodaphone... :-(

So it's off to Millencolin tonight with the sausage. Haven't heard from him cause I've been giving WoW a little break. I'll have to go a marathon on WEdnesday night to get it out of my system. Unless of course I can find a internet cafe in Melbourne that has it... Oh now that's a good idea. I could blog at the same time... *ponders stuff*

Mahoromatics today is shinTokyo can get them in.

STAR-SCAR SYNDROME

Ok, bigish weekend for me. Very, very busy yesterday. Went shopping at TTP and got my Millencolin and Reel Big Fish tickets. Had a 21st birthday to attend to as well as a 23rd. Went to the 21st first, which was really fun. Super great food, only problem was that it was down at onkaparinga, which is a very long drive south if you live in the north like I do. The 23rd was good, we got there about 11:30 so the party was well underway.

Today is where it really shined though. I restrained myself from the very tempting aspect of playing WoW all day and instead finally got around to watching Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. What a fantastic story and movie. The subtitles were pretty ok... I guess, but I enjoyed it none the less. I was going to tape it onto VHS, but the .avi file was a little corrupted and crashed media player in one section. I'll download it again now and see if I can get a better copy. Color me impressed is all I can say, I think I got a little too excited when they were all fighting bahamut.

Got around to finishing Wolf's Rain, which I was a little disappointed with. The series was excellent, don't get me wrong. I just think that they made too much of an effort to try and make the last 3 eps really sad.

I should probably try to get through some steam boy tonight... that is of course if I want to maximise my viewing pleasure...

FEAR THE REAPER

Zzzz... Zzzz... Zzzz... Zzzz... Zzzz... Zzzz... Zzzz... Zzzz...

It took me a good portion of last night to get everything back to 32bit Windows. But, basically it's all set up now. So I'm a little happier, even though my eyes hurt from extreme lack of sleep... >_<

I went to Ying Chow's with my girl last night. Damn it was good. We've got a good system worked out on what to get now. The fried icecream was delicious! A definate must try. I've also go Almond Pocky!!! I managed to find 3 boxes at the markets the other day. I'm so hoarding them. Anyone that even looks at them will get their finger broken. Damn they are good. Crap, only 2 boxes lef... oh the humanity!

Ok, so it'll definatly be Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children tonight I think. Why stuff was updating/downloading I tracked down sum english subtitles in .sub form. Was a bit surprised that I didn't have to re-install WoW again after the format. Hasn't crashed yet. Just gotta do a couple of little set up things, have a look at all the tools that the MoBo came with and I should be all done... in theory.

PROMISED GRACE

Ok, let me start off by saying how much Microsoft Windows XP x64 sucks. Well it's not that the OS itself sucks. It installed good, looks nice and runs great, the problem lies with the software and hardware or rather the lack of support. I can't load any of my old 32bit shell extensions, Daemon Tools or Winamp to rip CD's or any of my virtual drives. On top of that I got a nice new Microsoft Multimedia Keyboard, IntelliMouse Explorer 4.0A, you'd think that them being Microsoft products and using a MS OS they would work. Well you'd be wrong. There is NO driver support for this hardware on x64 systems. Can you believe that. They don't even support their own products. Shame, cause I really like MS peripherals.

So looks like it's back to old WinXP 32bit for me. At least I get all my functionality back. Maybe I'll upgrade when there is a more support for it, it looks like a decent system. I just don't think I can handle the limitations on with, especially when 90% of my Motherboard stuff wont load.

Also seems like the A8N-SLi-Premium has a massive problem with WoW. One of the inbuilt network cards seems to be causing a huge issue. I had it lock up no less than 5 times last night. The whole time I was in an instance. Very, very annoying. Almost got demo, kaye and sausage killed. Netted some nice armor for my troubles. The problem is easily remedied (thank fuck). I'll re-install EVERYTHING tonight and get back to WinXP 32bit. Basically everything I did last night was a waste... :-(

If you total it up I've got a total of 614gb or storage!
(that's 186gb+186gb+242) :-D

MARUI OTSUKI-SAMA

Mmmm the new beast machine is in, ready to be picked up. I'm pretty ecstatic... well I would be if I could shake off this lethargic (is that a word?). Tis teh r0x0r5! Thanks Getright Computers in the city. Now I've just got to pick out my new monitor... :-/

WoW severs went down way early last night. Barley even got on for 15 mins. Got summoned by all these level 60 players. It's good. I can go around and pick up all the griffins flight paths (FP) so when I need to come back it's all good. I think the city is called Stormwind. Got to see the [Insurgency] team massacre a bunch of high level elite beasties. Pretty amusing. Pity I didn't net any fat exp though :-(

So I watched the pathetic excuse for entertainment that is Sealab 2021 season 3. So so down hill. On the plus side it didn't go very long and I got through a smidge of Wolf's Rain, which looks like it's going to have a good ending. The soundtrack to Wolf's Rain is pretty decent too.

ugh, can't spell properly today...

GLAMOUR UNINTENDED

I'm being very tempted at the moment to import this game. I've been watching the release for a while now. Eagerly anticipating it. I was actually going to download it. But with the new computer on it's way I kind of can't start, at least until it's all up and running.

Being a Square-Enix title as well it's a big plus. I've really yet to be disappointed with any of their combined releases, FFX-2 was very decent. This is the first "Big RPG" that has been released in a while.

Now I've talked myself into getting it. I'll have to do another US order when I get back from Manifest/Supanova so it'll have to be then... Next question is when to find the time to play it... Oh, I'm sure it will look nice in the collection for a while... *LOL*

SILENCE AT NIGHT

I've been hitting it way too hard on WoW the past few nights. Well, lets be serious, pretty much since I've started playing it my sleep has gone out the window.

I did my first instance dungeon last night and netted an awesome first "rare" item. It's just a ring but it's still pretty special to me. Ahh, I guess just being one of the perks for being part of the 1337ness of human g nome. So I've been summond into some wired unknown land full of gnomes... they are pretty funny. Especially when they dance... Yet to see one get naked though.

.

.

Perhaps it's best if we don't talk more about that.

!!-> HAPPY BIRTHDAY <-!!

Yes, the special girl is even more special today because it's her birthday. Sequential number as well, that only comes once every 11 years... :-D

I'll have to try hard to make it a special day for her. Maybe if were lucky the nice weather will hold out a little longer. So much for the bom knowing what they are talking about... insipid retard fools!

STAR STUDDED

I've grown particularly fond of this site over the past couple of days. It's pretty much my sense of humor/view on life/attitude all rolled into one. Don't think I could ever be as liberal with my words as the owner though I do get a good laugh out of whatever I seem to be looking at.

I organ stumbled upon it when I was trying to find something that made some kind of wired sense of the Mahoromatic series ending. So much c-o-n-f-u-s-i-o-n. I was all like wtf, at the last episode. I kind of ruined the series a little bit for me. To make such a drastic change in the story at the last ep is a pretty big thing. I'd developed a caring for the characters and am then violently torn away from it with barley an explanation (and a shitty one at that). Lets just say three things. I defiantly liked the first series better. They should have ended it at the second to last ep. I hope the graphic novels end better.

The reviews are the best thing I've ever read. Straight up honesty and no beating around the bush. One particular one caught my attention. If you read the Summary of Final Fantasy IX particularly the last 2 lines:

..."I don't even remember how it played or what the bosses were like. Urrrrgh! Fuck you for this abortion of an RPG, Square! It could have been your best ever had you taken your time and not rushed it in order to concentrate on Final Fantasy - The Crappy Spirits Within."

BOOYA!

CANDY APPLE BLUES

Just got off the phone from ordering my new PC!
Yes, yes. I know the Athlon 1200 has kicked it on well beyond it's used by date. I was pretty beastly there at one stage and it can still out perform a 2ghz machine no problem. It's all to do with RAID and shite. Periodical maintenance as well doesn't hurt! Anyway here's the specs:

CPU - AMD Athlon 64 3200
CPU Fan - Spire "KestrelKing III"
Motherboard - Asus A8N-SLI-Premium Socket 939
Case - Thermaltake Tsunami Case Black VA3000BWA
Memory - Corsair 1024MB
Video Card - Asus ASUS EN6600-TD-256
HDD - Western Digital SATAII 200GB x2
DVD-RW - Pioneer DVR-110D

All in all I'm in for one major performance increase. I'm especially liking the features on the MoBo. Firewire, 10x USB 2.0, SATAII Raid, 2x NIC... I'll put the deposit down after work. Hopefully all the parts will be in by Tuesday next week. All I need now is to pick out a new monitor. 17"/19" LCD 8ms... Hmmm

The old beast is going to my special girl. I think she's been dying for a computer for a while and lest face it, I don't really want to trash the thing, it's too good.

WORLD OF WALKING

Currently @ LVL 14

I'm been hitting WoW pretty hard as of late. Mostly Sausage has been taking me out for quests, he's got a few different characters, a level 60 Druid, a lvl 22 mage but his lvl 16 warrior is the main one that I see. I don't think I'm actually that good, I've got the annoying habbit of letting him or anyone else in the party die at least once or twice... In my defence I've only had the game 4 days and I'm still getting used to the interface. I like just running around levelling up a bunch. It's fun killing things!

The servers have just gone down so I can't play anymore tonight. Something about weekly maintenace. Hopefully when i wake up this mess with the DVD's will have been sorted out...

HEARTBREAKER
Neglected to mention what I got for my birthday! I went to spend the gift voucher that work got for me. I finally picked up Another Code: Two Memories as well as Steamboy & Tokyo Godfathers. Money, cookbook (I like to cook), chocolates, World of Warcraft and I've got the sneaking suspicion that micromachines is poving out and getting me nothing! Before the end of the week I'm bound to get something from S&S.

I finally got part 2 (or the third wave) of my US orders: Ai Yori Aoshi Enishi 1-3 *special editions* and Nintendogs. I'm really looking forward to Nintendogs. Not sure what I'm going to start with though, maybe the pug or husky. They are so cute!

There was a bit of a stuff up with the order, it's hard to explain so I'll do my best... Ai Yori Aoshi ~Enishi~ comes in a special edition, Volume 1 comes with a box for the series and an Aoi mini PVC figure, 2 & 3 each come with 2 other PVC mini figures. So volume 1 & 3 came to me as they should. Volume 2 however, had the Mini figures strapped to the wrong disc. They were the right figurines, just shrink wrapped to a completely different series, very odd I know. Worst thing is that its a Public Holiday in America tonight so I'll have to wait until tomorrow to sort it out.

Looks like I could be up all night tomorrow, what a shame I might have to play WoW to keep myself busy. :-D

THE WILL OF THE UNDEAD

Ok, I went out last night for sum birthday drinks. Very nice indeed. Headed to the Belgium & the Austral for sum drinks. Ended up having quite a few people with us. Sausage, micromachines, Scooty & My special girl, S&S even showed up for a while. A bunch of people from skool too. Had a good night. Well until I got home at 4am, I wasn't feeling so good.

Surprisingly enough I got up this morning at 8:30, ready, willing and able to take on what was left of the world. Other people though, not so good. I've spent the majority of the day playing World of Warcraft.

I'm playing for now as:

Vashlar Druid - Night Elf

Don't ask me what realm I'm in. I don't remember. It's all very new to me and I'm a little pissed that some hobo has taken my "ashlar" name. Stupid dum ass. They are a Druid Night Elf too. So G-H-E-Y!

YOUR THE BEAT OF MY HEART

OK, got the first wave of my latest US orders (technically it's the second cause I got Mahoromatic 2 v1-3 and a Sealab 2021 v.3 Monday last week). Todays mostly consists of:

Ai Yori Aoshi v1-5 - I'm really enjoying the manga. It's a typical story that I'd go for, "guy lives with girl and hi-jinks ensure". Still it's got a touch of something good in it. Hope the anime is as good as the books.

Bjork Live Box - A Birthday Present for my special girl. She loves the old Bjork. I know she'll enjoy it, cause it's something shes asked for. It's 4 Bjork Albums all done live. I don't think the track list is identical though, but still it sounds good... in theory.

Dancer in the Dark - Bjork again for B'day present. Don't know much about it. Never seen it. Not usually a movie I'd go for. But I'll do a deal with her, I'll sit through this if she can do Hudson Hawke. :-D

Work have also pulled together and given me a JBHiFi gift voucher to spend. So it looks like I could finally get my lazy but around to pick up the Milencollin and RBF CD's that I've kind of wanted for a while.
