SELECTED SOUL

Started and finished in the space about about 3 1/2 hours (give or take a few resets). Hmm where to start, I love Bleach the manga I haven't really watched more than a few mins of the anime though. But that's something that's on the "To-do list". This game however I don't love. It was pretty terrible. The graphics are ok, sub par by todays standards. It's the gameplay that falls flat on it's digital arse. Did I mention the lack of story line, no way to upgrade you characters and the combo system... don't get me started on the combo system. Put it this way, I'm glad I didn't pay for it. I would have preferred the 2 Bleach fighters on PSP, the only good things about this game is the fact that 1. it's a Bleach title 2. it's short 3. it's easy, yet frustrating at times. I suppose the thing that really got me what the level areas were way too short and the loading time between "rooms" was terrible.

I hope the PS2 Bleach Separated Ambitions RPG does get finished. That's something I'll be keeping my eye on and actually looks pretty decent. I hope it's turn based. Theres also a DS bleach coming out as well as a Gamecube fighter before the end of the year. What's with game company's turning popular anime series (that could make awesome games if done right) into run of the mill crappy pumped out fighters? Naruto anyone? There should be some kind of law passed about a minimum development cost and time. Either that or some kind of quality control. If Tite Kubo isn't disappointed with what they are doing with his series... no wait, he's probably rolling in a pile of licencing cash surrounded by the pretty hookers. Yeah, I wouldn't give a damn either.

NEO HORIZON

"Thankyou, thankyou very much..."

It's been a while since I've seen anything like Bubba Ho-tep, that is if I've seen anything like it before in my life. To sum things up pretty quickly - Elvis switched places with an Elvis impersonator, the impersonator dies, leaving Elvis having to live out the remainder of his life as someone he isn't. Present Day, The king is in a retirement home, has a growth on his pecker and has a bad ass Egyptian mummy after his soul. Hi-jinks ensure. If you know me, you know what attracted me to this movie. Bruce Campbell, all hail to the king baby because he is fantastic in his role in this film. If you havn't seen it you have to go hire/buy it, it doesn't fail to deliver.

DAylight saving ticks over tomorrow... uggh, I HATE daylight savings.

ECHOING TRUTH

Shifted mode into overdrive last night and headed into shinTokyo to pick up Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles OST. Loved the Celtic feel to the music in the game. I was surprised to find out if was only a 2 disc though.

My little Princess and me headed into the city for some drinks afterwards. Went to the Elephant (a British Pub) with micromachines, sausage & scotty2hotty and then to the Belgium for some dinner afterwards. Micromachines piked it out early as well... what a homo.

Must head to the Blythe Exhibition tonight. I think I'll stop off in JB HiFi one the way down though. Theres a pile of DVD's that I've been meaning to buy. I've been spending most of my $$$ on manga as of late though. Theres still so much that I want: Naruto, Excel Saga, Genshiken, One Piece, Jojo's Bizarre adventure. Bobobo-bo (etc...), Tokyo Babylon, Suikoden, Rebirth, RG Veda... oh the list just goes on & on...

TOUCH AND GO

Added a couple of new additions to the DS collection this afternoon. Kirby: Canvas Curse is turning out to be addictive as hell. It's just so much faster than I expected it to be, and pulling off a crazy stunt and saving your little pink ass, well it just makes it that damn more appealing. Yeah, I so damn love pretty much all the Kirby games. The last installment on GBA, although short (well I guess when you think about it point me to a long Kirby game) was pretty sweet. They all seem so easy to get 100% on as well! I just hope this one lasts me longer than a few days. Oh and no, I haven't officially given up on Nintendogs, I'm just waiting for that fatty fatty pumba micromachines to get his large and in charge ass around here so I can get me Corgi! Until then though, Ichigo the husky and Spike the fluff ball can go into hybernation. I'm also very disappointed with Nintendo Australia, they promise me a Nintendogs plushie... what do I get... nothing. Tight asses have now widthdrawn the promo as well... G.H.E.Y.

Also thinking that Kirby might be too short, and lets face it, not have much replayability. I got a copy of Advance Wars: Duel Strike as well. What I really wanted though was Lost in Blue and Lunar: Dragon Song, but they will have to wait until my next US order... or the order after that... :-/ We'll see how the god of fortunes treats me. I've never played an Advance Wars game, yeah I know. But lets face it I was too lazy to pick it up when it came out and I'm too lazy to get them now. It better be damn good with all the stuff I hear about it.

Other than that I've been eyeing off a few things from the US including but not limited too:

Dragon Quest VIII
Shadow of the Colossus
Romancing SaGa
We Love Katamari (yes I finished the Jap version)
Sakura Taisen Ecole de Paris OVA
Radiata Stories
Tenchi Universe Collection
Tenchi in Tokyo Collection
Star Ocean EX

Also on a serious note. Jessy and I went to see The Devils Rejects last night, Worst.Movie.Ever. If you go see if your either a retard, can't read, deaf and blind or deserve to get run over by a mad steam roller on a rampage. If my time machine was up and running I would have cranked it to get my two hours back and spent it taking a dump on the master copies of the film.

SPENDING MY DAYS ON THIS EARTH

I was going to get a new layout up and fix a few things last night. Such big plans, hopes, dreams. Crushed. Well no, not crushed. What's the word I'm looking for? Ah, delayed. Once again I was distracted by something I can barley remember. From then, my whole night of plans went to go bump in the night.

I did however get to do something that I was really happy about. I picked up my Jump: Superstars (J:SS) & 4 anime CD's from shinTokyo. I didn't really need the anime CD's but they are nice to have. I'm getting quite a collection.

Think it's off the the movies tonight (Tight-Ass Tuesday and all), Might go see the Devil's Rejects. Schlock Horror guts fests are always a fun way to spend an evening with your missus. I'm downloading Fate/Stay Night at the moment. Hope it's good and starts to come faster than a couple of k a second. Man, why the hell is BitTorrent so sucky sometimes and then other times it r0x0r5?

KITTY LOVES

Done and done with Dragon Ball Z: Tenkaichi Budokai. I really liked the game. Defiantly going to get the AU release when it gets here, just it was really short, and easy. Don't know if I had an edge cause I've religiously played the 3 previous Budokai games but it was lacking in length. The story mode is good. You've got about 100 fights to do, the only pain in the ass is the "survive X seconds" matches got a little tire some. The characters have good balance, so much so it's possible, and easy, to beat each character with any other. Sometimes you just have to alter your strategy a little bit. There's a few capsules that I still need to get (about 20 or so) but I don't think I'm going to bother right now. So much other stuff to play. Liek Final Fantasy VII PC & Fable: The Lost Chapters.

Fable would have been the only reason I would have even contemplated buying an Xbox. Still there something to say about real time fights. I love menu driven turn based RPG's. There's so much more strategy involved in them. I'll give it a bash though. I need to get through Max Payne 2 and DOOM 3 as well before the end of there year. That's not leaving much time left for WoW though :-(

Did a Genghis run last night and I'm still feeling the after effects. :-/
Might DVD it for the rest of the evening. Me thinks.

TENDERNESS IN THE AIR

So what have I been up to for the past couple of days? Well as you can probably gather it's not been a lot. I've just been pretty tired the last few days. I think all this jet setting and late nights have finally caught up with me. Not to worry though cause it's actually given me a chance to catch up with some Anime that I've been meaning to watch.

I finished off Ai Yori Aoshi which was really good and I've got about 2 eps left the second series Ai Yori Aoshi~Enishi~. The first series is better, it follows the manga almost exactly, even though it's omitting a few of the funnier moments. Still some of those are thrown into the second season, but I'll mention that later. The animation and music is superb in the series and the DVD menus done by pioneer as pretty damn awesome. I really like the Sakura art that is printed in the DVD itself. Special features are a bit bare. Theres a couple of bonus eps that a pretty amusing and a crap load of trailers.

Enishi is a another story. The whole series is coming across as just filler eps, which aren't that bad but I would have liked to see a continuation of the main story. Most eps are new, theres a couple that were missed stories from the manga as I mentioned before. The artwork as gotten a little better, the backgrounds and music still are outstanding. The eyecatch are worth a mention as well.

So I went into shinTokyo on Tuesday and finally picked up my Mahoromatic manga, I also wanted to get some CD's that I saw in Sydney but were packed up before I got a chance to pocket them. They wont be in until Monday though.

It's pretty damn amusing that I got paid for working at Supanova and I'll end up spending most of it in shinTokyo. Got a SMS from Willy last night and I'm getting hooked up with a Jump Superstars for DS. Awesome, loved it when I played it in Melbourne, so hectic and hilarious, yet strangely addictive. So if we add that with the manga and some CD's it's pretty much most of my cash gone. I'm still owed $$$ for Manifest, probably thinks I'm going to forget about that! (-_-)

I'll try not to think about $$$ at the moment, just think of all the kewl stuff you have and how you downloaded Final Fantasy VII on the PC last night... oh yeah, that makes it all so much sweeter. I wanted to make a US order as well AND get Kirby Canvas Curse, Lunar: Dragon Song & Radiata Stories.

NOT NOW

Come here, please hold my hand, Lord, now
Help me, I'm scared please show me how
To fight this, God has a master plan
And I guess, I am in his demand

Please save me, this time I cannot run
And I'll see, you when this is done
And now I, have come to realize
That you are, the one who's left behind

Please stay until I'm gone
I'm here hold on to me
I'm right here waiting

I see, the light it feels good
And I'll come, back soon just like you would
It's use less, my name has made the list
And I wish, I gave you one last kiss

Please stay until I'm gone
I'm here hold on to me
I'm right here waiting
And take my one last breath
And don't forget
That I will be right here waiting

Please stay until I'm gone
I'm here hold on to me
I'm right here waiting
And take my one last breath
And don't forget
That I will be right here waiting

Please stay until I'm gone
I'm here hold on to me
I'm right here waiting
And take my one last breath
And don't forget
That I will be right here waiting

BIFTEK SUPANOVA

Finally back from the long and busy trip that was Supernova. I've never worked so hard at a convention before, not because it was heaps busy, the people I was working with combined with the size of the stall and the weather made it almost hell.

Reflecting on Sydney Supanova is a hard thing to do without any bias. Firstly there was nowhere near the 10,000 people that was promised to show up. The hall set up was ok I guess, even though the shinTokyo stall wasn't in the best spot for much of anything, the venue was in dire need of better ventilation as well. The hassle we had finding the place was almost funny. Bad, bad directions.

As traders and events went there wasn't really much that I hadn't seen before. There was really only us, Tamarket & anime anytime selling anime stuff. We were really also the only game merch traders as well. Most of the setup was filled with Generic stuff like EzyDVD and Foxtel. There were a few comic and movie memorabilia places spotted about the place as well. I didn't end up buying anything. I didn't get too many pics as well, the cosplay was well below average too.

Sydney itself is a little too big for my tastes, and dirty and it smells funny. Still it comes with a Books Kinokuniya in the heart of the city, which is where most of the first and last day were spent. I ended up with some really good stuff (albeit I paid dearly for it all as well):

- Volumes 1- 11 of Magister Negi Magi
- The official Negima! Anime fanguide.
- Volumes 1 - 4 of Zombie Powder
- Sakura photography book

Got the little miss a few nice things as well. I'll post the pics that I got, which wasn't many, tomorrow night. It's too late. I've been travelling for 4 hours and I just want to go to bed.

STAR-BLAZING RADIANCE

WTF is going on this morning. I've forgotten not only my tie but also my wallet, glasses and some CD's that I was supposed to bring from timmy. So not only do I look like a scrub I've also got little worth mugging for. -_-

I was going through some old zip files that I copied over when I got the new machine Not too happy as some of them have gotten corrupted. They still open and can be extracted, just that some of the files (mostly .jpg or .txt) error out with invalid decompression errors, weird... I'm sure it has to do something with the External HDD and the rather large amount of copying I pulled of that. I'll see what I can find on DVD and hopefully restore what I can without too much trouble.

Went to Sushi Train last night with my girl. I bought some organic japan bancha green tea and some kind white tea, cause I've been reading so much about it lately. I'll see how I go. I think I'll like the green tea better, I'm having my first cup at the moment and it's really nice. Mmm I love tea, yummy.

Yes, it's off to Sydney tomorrow for me and shinTokyo & Co.

A SELFISH WANT

It's only just after 9 and already I've been pissed off. Oh, I can tell this is going to be a good day. Woke up this morning getting ready for work and realised that now I've lot the 4th bookmark since I've gotten back from Melbourne. WTF, it's driving me absolutly crazy. Theres a bookamrk conspiricy going on at my house, That's it, I'm doing a massive clean up of the room when I get home, they have to be there someone. I saw the last one yesterda when I finished Vol 7 of Negima! It can't have gone too far.

Oh, but that's not what pissed me off. Whats pissed me off is I've barley been at work an hour and already Boss' stressed about his screen not working when the stupid gay fuck didn't have it on. What a tard. Another fatty fatty pumba has whined to me about the printer margins shifting and how he shouldn't have to adjust his margins. But it's ok for me to sort it out, as long as he doesn't have to. DAmn hypocritical fuck, one again I re-inforce that they don't and don't want to pay me to do computer stuff here so why the fuck should I? The next cunt that comes up to me can explain to the basment troll why it cost the company $110 an hour to delete there pr0n.

Whatever, I feel better now. Whew

MONSTER

Did an 18th birthday and the movie Boogeyman last night. The party was good, me and Jessy didn't stay too long though, I was still a little tired, snotty and blocked up for some reason. Not to mention our late night the night before.

Boogeyman was an ok movie despite it's B grade name. One thing however I couldn't stand was the lack of explanation. Now I'm not stupid I can take a bunch of stuff from a movie and form my own opion/conclusion based on what I've been shown. A lot of other people can't. I think the directior give the audience a little too much credit and it wouldn't suprise me if more people walked out of the cinema confused than satisfied.

The ending could have used a little tweaking as well. There's very little closure and your left wondering... "ok so what now". It's not a terrible movie, some of the directing and scenes are pretty neat (one particular one where the key goes into the lock comes to mind), it's just it lacked a certain something that makes a good movie. The CG was really bad as well, but it can be easily overlooked because there's very little of until the last 10 mins of the movie.

BAKERS DOZEN

Went and saw the RBF last night with Goldfinger. It was really good, I loved it. Still they remain a constant in my "favourite band" list. What did surprise me however was that they did their set before Goldfinger. Would have thought that they would have been headlining but then the band was down a member. Apprently Scott was sick, whatever I say.

Jessy, Scotty2Hotty, Sausage and myself stayed at the Gov, missed more than half the goldfinger set cause I was playing foozeball and darts... whoops. :-/ Saw micromachines there as well, with his dum friends that I hate. Stupid fat retards.

Had a fuck of a time getting any decent shots. I was too far away again and the lighting was terrible. I once again forgot my camera, so I was stuck using the phones one. None of them are even worth posting. I think micromachines took his good camera and I'll see if he's goot any I can leech.

Sausage, Jessy and I went to the pancake kitchen afterwards and ha ha ha sausage paid out that stupid bitch Giana from big brother. Bwhahahaha, stupid mole thinks everyone loves here and there sausage is spouting drunk talk at her. Damn that was sooo damn funny, I wish I had have got that on camera.

MARSHMELLOW KINGDOM

Went manga hunting last night after work. Managed to find Negima v7 (pictured), Chrono Code Vol.2 and Karekano 16 &17. All of which I'm now up to date with. I've really got to start looking for a book shelf or something for my stuff. I've got way too much manga for my current shelves.

Reel Big Fish and Goldfinger concert tomorrow night. I'm still not feeling 100%, stupid nephew giving me his cold, but i'm so not going to miss it. For now though I think I'll head back to some Ai Yori Aoshi DVD's. Watched the first episode and although it's following the manga pretty closely at least the character designs still look something like what they are supposed too. Finally downloaded and finished the Negima! TV series. It was really sad, I can't believe that they kill off... ok wait, I'm going to stop there, that's a big spoiler. The story followed the manga really well and then about 4 eps before the end it skewed into new material. All of which is ok with me.

Also read that Sakura Taisen 1 & 2 are coming out on PSP next year. Now that's pretty interesting indeed...

BYPASS THAT PROXY

Ugh, almost through my second grueling day at work. Why is it so bad you say? Well for starters I think I've caught my nephews cold, fantastic. The guy who was supposed to have done my job why I was away has done nothing, and apparently complained about it hardcore too. Fuck him and his stupid balding fucking head. I hope that loser fucker dies. You do fuck all and then whine about it. Fuck you and your prostitute of a mother.

To make myself feel a little better at least I get to go pick up a new Negima tonight. I'll prolly swing by shinTokyo too, with a little luck they can put aside the Star Ocean: Till the End of Time figure set that I was eyeing off at Manifest.

Regardless of my shite mood I've still got a bit left to do at home. I should organise another Melbourne photo page, get on WoW (don't think that's going to happen this week), organise something with my damn finances and watch some of the back log of... everything... that I've got sitting in my room.

Oh. Also got Nintendog's going after I made short work with Another Code: Two Memories on my holiday. Another Code was good, short sweet and too the point. A good difficulty level as well. No puzzle took more than 10 or so mins to find an answer bar one, and I was on the right track for a good 15 mins!

Nintendogs is another story though. So damn addictive. My shy little Husky name Ichigo (Strawberry) loves to catch the flying disk and got for walks. I can see me spending a lot of time on this game.

STAR STRUNG SONETT
Went to see Howl's Moving Castle last night. ZOMG, Best. Ghibli Movie. Ever. The animation was fantastic and the CG blended almost seamlessly into the film. The Story line was pretty decent too.

It's all about about a girl called Sophie that lands her self in a bit of trouble with a wicked old witch. She gets cursed and is aged to 90 years. Howl is a wizard that everyone is afraid of. Hes got some unique powers and a curse of his own. He lives in a castle with legs that is powered by a fire demon. Sophie ends up working for Howl, who isn't as bad as everyone thinks, and agrees to help break Howl's curse in order to break her own. Theres also an impending war, that Howl knows something about... Mystery for sure.

It's probably the best Ghibli Movie that I've ever seen, and I've seen a few, or at least on par with Nausicca & Porco Rosso. I'm going to make more of an effort to see some more Studio Ghibli stuff. I'm yet to walk away dissapointed with any of the movies that I've seen.

BULLETS AND BLACKLINES

What a hectic few days. I'm very, very glad to be home to a decent bed especially. Theres been more drama than a daytime soap opera in the past couple of days. Mostly involving the Melbourne Transports system, but I am getting a head of myself just a bit.

Ok. So about the trip. Well where do I start... We started off right next to the queen Vic Markets, which btw is just a pile of crappy crap crap that people try to flog off. This position had it's advantages, we were super close tot he UNI, walking distance to Bourke St Mall and it had this fantastic little asian deli right across the road. Straight soon after landing I was introduced into the delight that is Fish ice cream. Now don't stop reading yet, it's not what it sounds like. Basically your looking at a fish shaped wafer that's crammed with ice cream and sweet red bean paste. Damn they were magnificent, I would have brought some home if I wasn't so sure that they wouldn't last the trip.

In this fantastic store they also stocked the proper Pocky!!! None of that crappy Pepero knock of stuff, just the real deal. And Low and behold dear reader was I shocked to the point of a near black out when I saw this curious little green box sitting on the shelf. No, no, it's not a illusion and several boxes later I can confirm that the odd Mens Pocky that you see does in fact exsist, and taste magnificent! So much so that I went back before leaving the city and stocked up on some boxes. Now setting my entire research department to find information on this strange and wonderous encounter I found some information here and here. Also found large 10 packet boxes of almond pepero... Mmm yeah, i'm in sweet heaven. The only problem is that I don't want it to end... :-(

Manifest went off without too much trouble. I did get a spare 2 mins to run around and quickly grab a Sakura Taisen Artbook that I was missing, some photo's and a Infinity8LUE 2003 Night in Fantasia CD. Check out the Manifest 2005 Section that I've put up.

After Manifest Will and his sidekick left and Me and the little one pretty much just spent the whole time shopping. Ok, Chapel St is a pile of dog crud and get 2 thumbs down. So large yet so little there.

On the way out of Melbourne I knew it was going to be a bad day. For one it was crunch time with the skydiving, and although I enjoyed it I still was a bit nervous when I woke up. Went to Starbucks... Closed... Went to Spencer St Station to catch the train out, total disaster. The entire station is under construction and this means that there is no lifts, escalators or elevators anywhere. We had to drag our entire luggage entourage (about 50kgs) up and down 30 steps. We get to the platform, they don't sell tickets, we get tickets. They cancel the train and we have to catch a different train of go by "Road Coach" (fancy word fo Bus). The other train is 40 mins late and it arrives at a different platform. Up and down 30 stairs again and I finally get to sit down. Then the train doesn't leave for another 20 mins. You think a simple thing like catching a train would be so easy! IT ISN'T!

After this I pretty much Jump out of plane, smash my sisters head open, play poker at 30th B'day and then go home... That's all there is. Just don't ask. I've gotten angry remembering it all... -_-
