So I finally lowered my standard to spin of Initial D the live action movie last night and sit through it, and to be honest, I was impressed. It was actually a decent car movie. The subtitles were semi-dodgy, nothing that I couldn't deal with though. The most outstanding thing about it wasn't the lame story line, the relatively unblinged out cars or the fact that the main girl ends up being a dirty old whore. It's the races that make this movie shine. By far it's the best thing to happen to a car movie in a long time. I don't car how many poofs will jump to it's defence but 2fast2furously gay was a pretty lame as well at the prequel. The directing of constantly cutting to a driver shot to show the race is intense really just make paul walker look constipated. In Initial D though theres unbroken shots of 2 cars tearing down a hill and damn near 180kmph. No faking, actual driving. Very impressive indeed.
It's a street racer film, so some acting is a little dogy, and the story isn't all that great either. How the anime series lasted longer than 4 episodes is beyond my comprehension. The cars aren't that fantastic either, but the characters do explain what give a specific car has a advantage over the other, mainly because they are getting the smack down laid on them by some 1980's piece of shit. This thing ain't no soarer.
I can recommend watching it. I'll probably not buy it though, I don't think I could sit through it again. But then again, car movies have never been my thing. I would have liked to have seen some more explosions, maybe a fight or two and less of that fat annoying asian guy in the hawian shirts.
Sneeked a preview of Serenity today. (Don't you just love DVD's players with DivX support?) Fuck me it was awesome. I need some more. You finally get to see the Reavers and low and behold they kill a certain character off, which is VERY sad. Unfortunatly you don't get to see Inara and the captain hook up. As a matter of fact the whole story is set around River and her psychic abilities, something that was always hinted at in the series, but never really was confirmed. I think it was pretty well done considering. Go Team Go! Everyone has to buy the DVD's and tell Fox how good it is, that way I might get a chance at seeing some more episodes of another movie, even though i don't know how it will go with certain characters missing.

Come on Public Holiday. Yes, I do think it's true. Australia really is the nation of Public Holidays, Holden cars, stupid animals and chucking a sickie. Australia Day, what can I say. It's a day for you to honor the country but sitting back, having a few beers, a Barbie and listening to the JJJ hottest 100 countdown. Something I'm very much looking forward to tomorrow.

Damn it. Being the tard that I am I managed to electrocute myself on a dodgy bit ow wiring in the bar last night. Shit it hurt, tripped the safety switch out as well. So once again it saves my life. I wonder how many more time I'll have to get zapped to get super powers. Now it's about 10 times so far... Maybe another 3 or 4 and I'll be able to throw some elextro-pain peoples way.
260hp of quad cam V8 fuel injected manliness throbbing underneath me encased in a 1.6t shell of pure bliss every time I turn the engine. Sure sure, some might be thinking about a hot date but I'm talking about my new car. The alloy wheels on it are pretty gay, and the beast is booked in for a service and valve clearance adjustment on Monday (going to cost a small fortune no doubt), but I'm pretty dam happy with my self and will do a burn out on any son of a bitch that tells me otherwise. I'm now convinced that I must own the most comfortable car ever made by man. As a matter of fact it might be made by some far superior alien race it's that damn comfortable!
