EXCITEDMENT

Sakura Tasien for a Nintendo DS? Oh how awesome is that. Especially considering how all I've pretty much had for the last 3 years is remakes (barring the fantastic Sakura Taisen 5)

Now a Sakura Tasien Dungeon Crawler with selectable characters from all 3 troupes, that's pretty bloody decent, and despite me barley knowing a lick of Japanese I never have a problem enjoying or getting through them. I wish the same could be said for the Mahou Sensei Negima games, those things are just HARD. What's the deal with no-one writing walkthroughs for them. Come on a harem of Anime girls with changeable costumes~!

HOUSE-ISM

"See, skinny, socially privileged white people get to draw this neat little circle, and everyone inside the circle is normal and anyone outside the circle should be beaten, broken and reset so they can be brought into the circle. Failing that, they should be institutionalized or, worse, pitied. … Why would you feel sorry for someone who gets to opt out of the inane courteous formalities which are utterly meaningless insincere and therefore degrading. … Can you imagine how liberating it would be to live a life free of all the mind numbing social niceties? I don’t pity this kid, I envy him."

MARCH OF THE DOGS

Well I've had a pretty relaxing weekend. I actually managed to sit down and watch a few movies, well more than a few, almost 4. It's not to bad now that I've finished the first wave of training for the new job. I've still got to make some kind of time on Tuesday nights to go to yet another course but at least for the next few weeks things will be starting to calm down.

I got to watch:
- The Return (well OK I fell asleep 15 mins into it, but I get the gist of it)
- The Hitcher
- Deja Vu
- A Scanner Darkly

The Return made me go to sleep. The Hitcher was a bloody awesome display of violence. Deja Vu was a nice bit of Time travelling Sci-Fi goodness to feed the nerd in me and a Scanner Darkly was one of the best movies I've seen in a long time.

Parting from all of that I got new rear sway bar bushes on the car as well as a new front turning light, something that's been bugging me since I bought it. At least it's fixed and working now! Still having troubles with the Tail Lights, won't bore everyone with the details but they indicators are running at the correct speed, the error message is still there though. Grrrr!

Also managed to fit in some Pokemon goodness as well. I'm up to Victory Rd! Yes, I can smell it... Sleepies time. I've only gotten up because it's pissing down with rain and it woke me up.

REMINISCENCE

OK, for starters .hack//G.U. Volume 2 has been released. If your any kind of regular reader you'll know of my obsession with the .hack (aka: dothack) series. I love it. It's like online with out all the crappy EXP grinding a noobs bothering you. Theres a fantastic story about online shenanigans and the series is absolutely massive. The original .hack games kicked serious ass. Sure the battle system got a bit same but it was always fun tearing ass around kicking the crap out of everything and dragging some relatively decent AI party members with you. Fields and Dungeons are randomly generated with the help of a 3 keyword combination which opens up an absolutely massive amount of places you can go. All different from the last. The music kicks ass as well. So when heard about the second game of the new series (there were 4 old dot hack games and now theres 3 new ones) I almost shit my pants with excitement.

Funnily enough I haven't played the first game of G.U. yet. It's pretty slack on my behalf, considering I know how much I'll love it, but I've been a little too busy. Now there is only going to be a trilogy with this set of games with the last coming out in October. I've considered quitting my job to play .hack, theres a lot to be ding in a .hack game, but alas I don't think that will happen in the next few weeks, not why my credit card is in dire need of a cash transplant.

For now though I'm stuck playing the magnificent and addictive Pokemon Diamond for my DS. I've got the "gotta catch them all" fever. Also it helps a lot with my Action Replay DS, it means all the shiny Pokemon I can handle. Not that I'm a huge fan of cheating our way through games, but Pokemon without mega trading and a whole bunch of other crap that you need just drags out too long. It's nice to have a team full of shiny's though. Makes me feel special... HAHA BECAUSE I AM!

HAPPY SONG

Well not everything goes as planned, that rings most true with the car. No matter how well you prepare yourself something will always happen. Take my new tail lights. Well I now need a $310 tail light fail box to get them working properly. Not that they are broken, I just get a flash of Japanese on my dash telling me the tail lights have blown a globe, when they haven't. Oh well the folleys of owning an imported beast... you get that. At least the Rain Sheilds went on pretty easy, and they look fantastic as well!, Booya!

At least Jessy and I now have the fantastic Pokemon: Diamond & Pearl to play. I'm a Diamond Boy and Jessy is the Pearl Girl. Seems it's as addictive as ever and a good portion of the weekend was spent trading and battling all the little digital critters.

DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS

Fuck, I've almost done my back in lifting 40 kilos of brakes into my boot yesterday. Even more fun was getting them back out at 10pm when I got home. So I've got a ton of things to get on the car on the weekend. Brakes, sadly, will not be one as I've got to clean them up and paint them so they match the awesomeness that is BOWSER!! (Fuck, just looked at that page, not much on it is there... hmmm)

I also have new tail lights :-D

Yeah, whatever, you can suck our balls.
