ONE STEP CLOSER
Jump! Ultimate Stars, could there be any sweeter combination of Manga, Video games, button mashing and frustration. No, well maybe Jump! Superstars but I'll keep my opinions reserved for now. I've been at it for a good 20 hours and I still haven't unlocked everything. I LOVE jump. There's more characters, LOTS more characters and more characters is always a good thing. The best part about it all is the inclusion of awesome series such as Ichigo 100%, I''s, Bleach, DBZ and even more I can't be fucked mentioning. If you don't play jump your a fag. Even if you do and you've unlocked everything your still a fag because I hate someone being better at me than something.

It's defiantly worth importing if you have a DS. Think Super Smash Bros: Melee 2D with a butt load more characters. AND it has online play as well! Fucking A-W-E-S-O-M-E... (that's spells awesome)

DAYDREAM

Well I bit the bullet and did it. I’ve purchased myself a Mint Sakura Taisen special edition Dreamcast console. It wasn’t cheap, but who cares. It’s just so cool! It’s coming all the way from the UK… don’t know how it go there to begin with… but who cares it’s all mine!

Pics?

NOT SO HOT

Bleachhts6It's always a little dissapointing when series get around the 5 or 6 sequel mark. Perfect eaxample is Bleach: Heat The Soul on PSP. I swung past shinTokyo last week and pick up this new release all excited when I got home to plug it in and start Soul Reaping some Espada ass all over the graphical floor on the PSP.

Let me start by saying I love the Heat The Soul series on PSP. I've had a lot of great times beating the crap out of friends via WiFi in the first game. Then 2-4 came and they trumped each other fantastically. 5 introduced a bunch of new characters and tag mechanic and hollow ichigo (awesomeness to play as).

Then comes six. I really hope this isn't the end of the series (HTS:7 anyone?) becuase it's a bit of a low point. Wright with exploits and a pointless story battles with stupid rules. The tag mechanic it's ok, but essentially you have to pick between having 2 characters tht you can swap, change and absorbe damage with or 1 beefed up character with a crappy power up special. As you guessed it 2 characters in tag nearly always win. The AI can be punishing as well... too punishing in some parts. It jumps from being "walks into punches" to "harbringer of death" mid way through the game.

I'm happy I got it. But just wanted to share with you. If your not a HTS fan, don't get this as your first game, get 3 or 4 (cheap mind you from play-asia).

SO LONG, MY LOVE

Sakurataisen5wiiOne of the few things that get me excited nowdays is a annoucement of a new Sakura Taisen Game. It just so happens the Nippon Ichi of America have made this the most exciting year since 2005 for me.

Check it Out Here

Basically I came in my pants when I heard this. I've been waiting so long for an english localisation of ANY Sakura Taisen game I have up hope a long, long time ago. There were hopes and rumors when Sakura Taisen ~Atsuki Chishio ni~ came out in Japan, not that I waited. I just buy up the special limited edition versions or any ST game released and horde them like a madman.

Sakura Taisen 5 was one of the best PS2 import games that I played. Graphics were good, story was excellent (easy to follow even though I don't know Japanese) gameplay was outstanding. For those of you that don't know Sakura Taisen games blend Strategy, Dating Sim, Anime Storybook and Action games togother in one magnificent gameplay experience. The basis of the games are that you go around sweet talking chicks to make the battles easier against the Steam Punk evil Robots that you have to lay smack down on. Epic Boss fights thrown in for good measure and Combination moves are abundant. The more the girls like you the better there fighting abilites are. If your super nice to one girl in particular you get her special lovey dovey ending, that's well worth the effort for replay. With some clever saving, resetting and strategy you can see all the ending in about 2 full sittings.

It's also interesteing to note that a Wii version is going to be released as well, of course I'll get both, that's just what I do when it comes to Sakura Taisen stuff. Wii Controls + Sakura Taisen might even be enough to warrant me purchasing a US Wii... cause I don't think my region hack is going to last forever. Region encoding is so 2005.
