So far the plan is to be in Brisbane a couple of weeks. Should be good fun, cept the fact that I'll have close to $0 to be wasting while I'm over there. Unless I can somehow manage to come across about $5000 between now and the fist week of June. Fingers Crossed for me.

If I get full of excitement I might even think about getting that Canon EOS 450D that I've been drooling over the past couple of weeks... Hmmm DigiSLR goodness! But then that's a big IF, as chances are I'll have neither the time, motovation or $$$ to get one. We'll see what JB HiFi has on the way home tonight.

It's been a pretty full on last month for me. In the weekend just gone I got to do some work at shinTokyo which is always more fun than it sounds. It also gave me the opertunity to peruse his fine selection of merchandise of which I ended up with a heap. The haul included 3 Wii games, 4 Sakura Taisen Model Kits, 8 manga and some toys.

Although I really should start to look at slowing down my spending, I'm planning on leaving work in the next fortnight and take a holiday to Brisbane and get Bowser supercharged! Oh yes, that's right I'm going forced induction. After that, who knows. I might very well end up a doll bludger for a month or so until the savings swindle and I need a cash injection. The question I have now is do I bother to leave it a couple of weeks or just wait until I get paid on Wednesday and then jump ship?

I now have a new set of shiny Isotta Pedals installed as well as a set of very shiny Polished Rocker Covers. All of which was an absolute pain to get on. Still I learnt a lot poking around in the engine bay, a hell of a lot, like how to pull the majority of my car to pieces and then put it back together again, the incorrect way to remove fuel injector plugs so they break, how to use a straw to collect dropped silicone and get a mouthful of oil and the woes of installing a throttle body... all good fun.

So for the most part I've been head to toe in grease and oil all Easter, although I did manage to get some decent sleep. Working on the car is tiring.

There are three things this year that I have decided that I am going to have no matter what the cost. No it's not games, not car things, it's not junk. It just happens to be things that I've wanted for a very long time and can't figure out for the life of me why I have never gotten any of this stuff before.

First of all we have a laptop computer, that can be crossed off the list, as I got a really dect Asus a few weeks go but it is something that I can't belive I haven't bought earlier. I'm PC guru! But at least now I'm versed in Vista and have something to look at when people ask me tech support questions. The best part about this is it is tax deductable as well! (^_^)

Second up is the Canon EOS 450D Digital SLR. I was going to buy the EOS 400D until I found out the 450D was getting released. unfortunatly I have to wait until April before I can get my hands on one. Come on Canon I want it!

Lastly is a telescope. I'll need more study into the matter before I can decided which brand and type I want. I'm open for suggestions.

I've also managed to find an Aluminium Brake Master Cyclinder Strut Brace on eBay today and 2 sets of Aluminium TRD badges to make my car more shiny. For some reason I'm really feeling the need for some fap tastic shit on my car. I've pretty much hit the limit of things I can do before a supercharger (well I've bought a lot of stuff but yet to put heaps of it on).

But fuck yes, I am pretty wrecked today. I went to help Simone dig some stormwater trenches on wednesday night, that took until abou 1:20am and then last night I went to Jessy's to pull up the remaining carpet and remove a bunch of furniture for the new carpets. Tonight, however I'll have to move it all back in, that's assuming they have got it all in by the time I get there.

There isn’t quite anything like about getting something that you’ve kinda always wanted but thought you never would get until that morning that your sitting on your ass at work and suddenly eBay and the thing you want both pop in your head at the same time and then suddenly realise that you can have what you wanted. Well that’s exactly what happened with me this morning… what a cleaver little person I am sometimes.

Oh, and Vista isn't that much of a pain in the ass. I managed to get everything working but the U3 Enabled version of Thunderbird when it's running from my thumbdrive. That just seems to crack the shits when starting.

Unfortunately I had to part ways with my old Sandisk 512MB Liquid Metal Titanium USB Drive. The thing was really pretty sturdy, even though I never really used it much. It actually took a running over from ym car and it didn't break. Amazingly enough I decided to replace it with the new Sandisk U3GB Titanium model. It comes with all the nifty U3 enabled program stuff so I can blog, email, ftp and pretty much do anything from work, other than actual work and not need to leave any incriminating programs on my HDD. Magic!
